Don L. Powell, DDS
Dr. Powell attended Emory University and the University of Missouri, Columbia. He graduated with distinction from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1974. Dr. Powell served as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1974 until 1976. He continued his education, graduating from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry, Orthodontic Residency Program with honors in 1978.
Dr. Powell’s professional affiliations include: the Missouri Society of Orthodontists, the Midwest Society of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Greater Springfield Dental Society, the Missouri Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Powell has served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Springfield Dental Society, and he has lectured during the annual meeting of the Missouri Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Powell has also been a member of the Springfield Southeast Rotary Club for over 25 years.
While away from the office, Dr. Powell enjoys golf, fly-fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Susan, have two children, Lynette and Erin, both of whom have completed their college degrees.
